This piece comes finished in warm teak oil that protects the Monkey Pod wood while allowing the natural grain to show through.

Monkey Pod comes from a very plentiful tree species in South East Asia. Each one is finished with all natural, non-toxic oils, making it safe for any area of the home and non-damaging to the environment. All of these products were hand-carved and finished by local Chiang Mai, Thailand artisans.

Product Care: Monkey Pod is a durable wood, but to maintain its natural glow through the years we recommend touching up with tung or teak oil, since they're eco-friendly and naturally water resistant. Direct sunlight can also cause more cracking on the ends of Monkey Pod wood, so you can rub in a natural wood oil to seal it and preserve its beauty.
